Bush-Cheney Escape War Crimes Prosecution

UPDATE: Yes, it may be the greatest scandal of the Bush/Cheney years: that they were not impeached, convicted and thrown out of office. But now that they’re gone, there is still the option of trying them for war crimes. Or is there? Watch what Cafferty says in the video below.

And if you want to read more on the topic of Bush/Cheney war crimes, here are two excellent books (click the images to read more):

Jack Cafferty:

Here’s the deal:

Under the War Crimes Act, violations of the Geneva Conventions are felonies, in some cases punishable by death. When the Supreme Court ruled that the Geneva Convention applied to al Qaeda and Taliban detainees, President Bush and his boys were suddenly in big trouble. They’ve been working these prisoners over pretty good. In an effort to avoid possible prosecution they’re trying to cram this bill through Congress before the end of the week before Congress adjourns. The reason there’s such a rush to do this? If the Democrats get control of the House in November this kind of legislation probably wouldn’t pass.

You wanna know the real disgrace about what these people are about to do or are in the process of doing? Senator Bill Frist and Congressman Dennis Hastert and their Republican stooges apparently don’t see anything wrong with this. I really do wonder sometimes what we’re becoming in this country.

  1. The democrats are actually no more then actors for the power elite scum that have America by its balls. to provide cover and a show for us suckers and the idiot media.
This is evident on the fact that they will not prosecute bush and his bunch for the war crimes they have committed. They lied in front of congress and the american people to cause a war that killed many people good and bad. Nixon was up for impeachment for far less and clinton was on the hot seat for much much less. ASK WHY! why is nothing done about it? and the inescapable truth is they are all in this together. they are all the sic and twisted government mafia 2.0 and we are all made to be there slaves. This is fact! period! only the ignorant believe otherwise. Its just common math! for anyone that is honest!
What are we becoming? Something very ugly! There fear mongering has worked its magic and they will deceive us all again to get out of it. It really is too bad Americans are this dumb to keep falling for the same trick.

  2. [...] already exempt from war crimes prosecution: Bush-Cheney Escape War Crimes Prosecution | E Pluribus Unum However, to answer the question, it would embolden the rest of the world’s hatred of the USA if we [...]

  3. Our current power in this country needs to stop any bill letting these criminals go free, and if they don’t they prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this whole political arena in the USA are part of the same gang, and we are screwed!

  4. Politics I will never understand.

  5. This bill is unconstitutional though to prove so means having someone take it to Court and having the Court rule correctly. Torture and preemptive aggressive war is illegal no matter what law is passed to make them legal. At the same time getting accountability is very difficult when the people who are supposed to prosecute are bought off by the criminals.

  6. I voted for Obama with the feeling and hope he would do what is right for America. I may be wrong but I see same ole same ole. Holding the privious administration accountable for thier crimes and abuses is the most important issue to those that voted Obama into office and its not going to happen. I started to gain a little hope for America listening to Obama during his campaign but now I see the smoke screen unfolding. First the financial crisis which we will climb out of, than we will see a healthcare bill, than big progress in Iraq and Afganistan and by then we are all supposed to be so proud of America again we will all forget the damage the military industrial complex has done to America over the last 50 to 60 years. 7. How many more times will we believe any of our Presidential candidates? Never again for me
