Sarah Silverman’s Great Schlep Might Be Working

So this guy, Mike Bender, takes Sarah Silverman’s challenge and goes to Florida to talk to his grandparents about voting for Obama.

…[M]ore than 100 seniors turned up to hear his Obama pitch. Even though he felt they were being swayed, Mike Bender was not content to leave it at that and he pulled his final trump card — guaranteed to tug at their parental heartstrings: …If Obama was elected, he said, then Bender would not worry so much about politics and “would have more time to find a nice Jewish girl to marry.” Whether Mike Bender’s schlep really changed any minds is anyone’s guess, but the applause from the crowd was deafening.

THAT’S what I’m talking about!

P.S. And in a related story, is there a more chilling sentence-starter than this one:”Mom, Dad…I found this in your room…”
