What Republicans Believe…
A new poll of more than 2,000 Republicans reveals some troubling findings:
– 63% of them believe President Obama is a socialist
– 53% believe Sarah Palin is more qualified to be president than Obama is
– 39% believe he should be impeached
– 36% believe he wasn’t born in the United States

P.S. 55% aren’t sure whether or not Acorn stole the ‘08 election. 33% are unsure whether or not Obama “wants the terrorists to win.” Gah!
Sometime I’m stupefied that nice, ordinary folks, people I like, people I call friend or admire call themselves Republicans knowing they not only associate with these neanderthals but also enable and even encourage them. But what do I know. After all, “Republicans Rock!” (I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.)
If any three people in the world (Dean’s World, at least) know the truth of it, it’s us: “conservatives” are completely impervious to reality. It’s feature, not a bug of right-wing authoritarian-following, along with a chilling empathy deficit for anyone outside the “in” group. If you remember only two things about them, those should be them. Though the shameless lying and hypocrisy are probably worth keeping an eye on as well.
