I sure hope that all this “what did he get out of it” rhetoric is about keeping the leftward pressure on Obama and not because they really don’t understand why he’s done what he’s done or what he’s gotten from it.

It reminded me of an episode of The West Wing wherein Pres. Bartlet was searching for an historically significant Bible on which he could be sworn in for his second term.
The emerging story is that you don’t f#@k with the Obama team.
OK, so now we’re hearing about how hard it’s going to be for Obama to give up his Blackberry, right? And I’m like, “Don’t take my Blackberry! I need my connection to the Internet.” Then I realized that they’re talking about taking just his Blackberry away, not all Blackberries. Yeah, I know…it’s addictive.

If the poll numbers stay this big, it will redefine the meaning of the word mandate.
As much as I want to tap dance on the grave of the “conservative movement,” it’s not about picking the winning side and beating the losing side. It’s about not dividing us into “sides” at all.
