I’m weary of hearing even some of my favorite libs perpetuate a fundamentally flawed talking point.
What a remarkable time we live in.
One thing the 2008 campaign proved without a shadow of a doubt: all Republicans are liars, from bottom feeders like Limbaugh and Hannity all the way to the top of the Republican presidential ticket.

We should all hope that the public adolescents, whose job is to tell us what we should be paying attention to, are at least temporarily satiated by the sputtering climax to the Blago/Obama affair. If there has ever been such a complete and uniform display of the narcissism, vapidity and utterly squandered mission of the American press corps, I haven’t seen it.
Indeed, if Al Franken as the 60th Senator is given the ironic honor of introducing the return of the Fairness Doctrine, it may be the way of the future. I hope it works, and I’ll be listening.
